United Airlines Flight 2
This is a very strange series of ACARS uplinks from the SFO ground site using 131.55 MHZ. It took place over a period of 12 hours on 28 AUG, 1997 to one specific United flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco (UA 2). This is a very busy time over the North Pacific but no other United flights over the Pacific were being used by this local site. My assumption is that these were messages from the United Flight Dispatcher located in Chicago, sent by land line to the satelitte transmitter somewhere here on the West Caost, and at the same time directed to the VHF site here at the VHF ARINC tranmsitter. But the aircraft was over a thousand miles from its destination and well beyond VHF range.
Notice the GMT times for each of the uplinks.
